Work in progress-this painting started with a fun snapshot taken Easter two years; naturally time has passed and the younger one has grown considerably taller, so this double portrait of my grandsons now approaching their late teens and early twenties had to change along the way-I love the work of Bellini and his ability to capture a stillness a certain expression and character-my aim was to capture that fleeting moment from adolescence to adulthood, with a little bit of Bellini stardust thrown in.
Still much to do …I may clothe them differently, look forward to sharing how it progresses.
